Yeah, can you believe it! WordPress just makes it so easy to publish a website. No programming, no fuss, no muss!
Well, there is always fuss and muss actually. The missing web.config page was probably because ASP.NET was turned off and this is after all a Windows Server running IIS. The url rewrite needs to be on so that all page access goes to index.php.
There are 2 reasons why WordPress on IIS. First is speed comparison and initial impressions are it is amazingly fast. Can’t wait to install on their Linux servers and start running some benchmarks.
Then, on to a DotNetNuke comparison perhaps, turn on ASP.NET and give it a whirl!
